Ashley Tisdale Reflects on Pestering ‘When Are You Having Kids?’ Question

“So, when are you going to have a baby?” asks every family member or sometimes even practical strangers after you tie the knot or enter your 30s. Ashley Tisdale admitted she too faced the pestering question following her wedding to husband Christopher French in 2014.

“I think it’s like there’s just like a flow to you get engaged, and then people ask, ‘When you’re getting married?’ nonstop and then you get married, and then the next question is ‘When are you having kids?’” Tisdale shared with Ryan Seacrest via Zoom on Wednesday, January 13.

“We rebelled for a little,” she jokingly added of hubby Christopher. “We’ve been married six years and finally decided now is the time.”

Ashley announced she was expecting her first child this past September. In October, the couple revealed they’re pregnant with a baby girl.

"I was obviously excited because I definitely wanted a girl, for sure," Ashley previously told People. "But I am also someone who goes with the flow on a lot of stuff. I try to not have expectations in moments like that and just allow what is meant to be. I was very excited. I think my husband definitely was scared — he looked a little scared in the pictures!"

While the mama-to-be is gearing up for her little one’s arrival, she’s attempting to uncover the talent on The Masked Dancer.

“I thought I was going to be really good at it but I’m the worst, to be honest,” she shared.
