Grammy-winning, chart-dominating rapper Lil Nas X, who is behind massive hit “Old Town Road,” joined Ryan Seacrest on-air on Friday, January 8, and shared how the adorable new storybook version of himself came to life.
Lil Nas X’s children’s book, C Is for Country, features a little boy decked out in a pink rhinestone cowboy get-up á la the rapper who travels around a farm and points out things that bring him joy, teaching kids their ABCs.
“We all know ‘Old Town Road’ was super huge and it was definitely popular amongst kids,” Lil Nas shared. “… I was like this makes perfect sense. It’s an educational reach for them too, for kids to learn their ABCs and it’s more fun because there’s pop culture involved and anything that outside of school is brought into school makes it so much more fun.”
So, will there be a cartoon version next?
