Kings Of Leon Tease New Song 'Must Catch The Bandit'

It's been more than four years since Kings of Leon released their seventh studio album, Walls, and on Christmas day (December 25), the band teased its next chapter.

"Blame it on the holiday 'cheer', but I just feel like sharing. @kingsofleon tweeted 'the w8 is nearly over' TEN MONTHS ago. Enough. If you were promised new Kings music in 2 weeks, would you forgive us? Could you?" bassist Jared Followill tweeted. He then attempted (and failed) to share a clip of the new song, titled "Must Catch The Bandit," accidentally posting an image link instead. “Assembly required for this Christmas present” he jokingly wrote in the thread.

Thankfully, drummer Nathan Followill (who also happens to be Jared's older brother) came to the rescue. “Big brother fixed it for you,” he replied alongside a 30-second teaser video of a hand developing photos of each band member in a dark room, soundtracked by the song. See the exchange and listen to a preview of "Must Catch The Bandit" below.

Though "Must Catch The Bandit" is thought to be the lead single off Kings of Leons' upcoming eighth studio album, they did share another new song earlier this year. Back in March, they released a live, acoustic video of a song called "Going Nowhere" on YouTube to raise money for Live Nation’s Global Relief Fund. "Stay safe. Stay home. We will see you as soon as we can," the band wrote in the video's caption.
