Keith Urban & Pink Premiere 'One Too Many' Collab At 2020 ACM Awards

Wednesday night’s (September 16) 55th annual Academy of Country Music Awards was a colossal evening for Keith Urban. Not only did the chart-topper serve as host for the Nashville-based show, but he also offered up the world premiere performance of "One Too Many," his new collaboration with Pink.

During the last hour of the broadcast, which was introduced by Miranda Lambert, Urban and Pink appeared on a studio stage in front of a colorful LED screen to perform the duet. During the number, the two were separated by a wall, which saw the two perform "together," courtesy of a little bit of post-production magic. "I spend all my money drinking on my own, yeah/ In this bar just sat here staring at my phone/ And I keep second guessing where did I go wrong/ I know i'm proud but I'd had one too many/ Come take me home," the two harmonized on the hook. The song was uploaded onto YouTube immediately after the performance.

The track is set to be featured on Urban’s forthcoming album, The Speed of Now, Part 1, which drops on Friday. Among the other teams-up on the set include Eric Church ("We Were") and Brelan and Nile Rodgers ("Out the Cage”).

Prior to the performance, the Male Artist of the Year nominee offered plenty of praise for the pop star, admitting that he was blown away by her vocal track. “I don't know who surprised me the most,” he told Entertainment Tonight. "Obviously someone like Pink, I mean good lord. Hearing her voice on the song 'One Too Many,' man it was unbelievable. That is an astounding, astounding gift that she has. And again, her as a person, it's also why she's been around a long time. She's absolutely astounding and it was great to get to do that with her."

“One Too Many” is the latest in Pink’s cross-genre collaborations after previously singing with Kenny Chesney ("Setting the World on Fire") and Chris Stapleton ("Love Me Anyway").
