James Taylor to Celebrate 'American Standard' with iHeartRadio ICONS Show

James Taylor is an American classic and music icon, and in 2020, at the end of this month, he's set to release his 20th album, appropriately titled American Standard. To celebrate, the singer/songwriter/guitarist is performing during his exclusive iHeartRadio ICONS show for fans in New York City — and fans across the country will be able to tune in and watch live!

American Standard follows Taylor's 2015 album Before This World and showcases 14 carefully selected beloved songs of the 20th century re-imagined, including jazz standard "Teach Me Tonight," Bing Crosby's "Pennies From Heaven," Audrey Hepburn's "Moon River" and more. In a statement, he explained of American Standard, "I've always had songs I grew up with that I remember really well, that were part of the family record collection - and I had a sense of how to approach, so it was a natural to put American Standard together. I know most of these songs from the original cast recordings of the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, including My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Carousel, Showboat and others."

During his intimate iHeartRadio ICONS show, James will perform songs from American Standard, and talk about the new release during an exclusive Q&A hosted by iHeartRadio's Jim Kerr.
