Go Behind-The-Scenes Of Hayley Williams' 'Simmer' Music Video

If you're like me, you cannot get enough of Hayley Williams' solo debut and thankfully, the music gods heard the plea!

On Wednesday (February 12), Williams released the lyric video for her solo single, “Simmer, and it's not just a basic video with the words on the screen.

In the newly-released video, the 31-year-old took fans behind-the-scenes of the eerie music video. As you'll see in the video above, the Paramore singer literally films the music video in the dark. And, yes, for those wondering she really does run around butt naked in the freezing cold — props to you, girl!

Williams also gives a glimpse into the recording process for the song throughout the lyric video. The timestamp on the clips reveals she recorded the song 08/07/2019! Paramore fans can also catch a glimpse of Taylor York rocking out in the studio alongside Williams.

“Have had a (very cheap & faulty) camcorder in my hand for most of the last year. we used all the footage to make lyric videos for the songs on the album,” she wrote on Instagram.

Last week, Williams dropped a five-song collection, called Petals For Armor I, which includes "Simmer,” "Leave It Alone,” “Cinnamon,” “Creepin',” and “Sudden Desire.” She also released the music video for “Cinnamon” and the Petals For Armor album artwork.

While she hasn't announced any tour dates yet, Williams gave a stunning first performance of “Simmer” and another first performance in front of a live audience.

Williams recently spoke out about claims she plagiarized the concept and visuals for her music videos stating she had never heard of the artist who was making the accusations.

Petals For Armor is out everywhere May 8!
