Dan + Shay performed a special duet rendition of their hit song "Speechless" this weekend with the help of pop star Demi Lovato. During their set at the Bud Light Super Bowl Fest in Miami, the duo surprised the crowd when they invited Lovato on stage to join them.
The decision to collaborate seems to have been somewhat impromptu based on an Instagram post shared by the duo's manager Scooter Braun. "@ddlovato came to see @danandshay last night and they started talking music and this happened backstage which led to an amazing surprise on stage. Wow," Braun wrote alongside a video of the artists backstage.
Lovato was in Miami to sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV on Sunday (February 2.) The standout moment follows her show-stopping performance of her new song "Anyone" at the 2020 Grammy Awards on January 26.
Next month, Dan + Shay will kick off their first-ever headlining arena tour titled, "Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour." The tour will launch on March 6 with two back-to-back shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Ingrid Andress and The Band Camino will join the duo as supporting acts on the tour running through mid-April before a five month break.
The tour will pick back up in September with shows running through October. The final stop will be at Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington on October 31. Tickets to the tour are available now. See a full list of cities and dates here.
