Mandy Mooreโs music has certainly inspired many of her fans, as has her life and career, and now itโs all serving as the inspiration of something else as well, a new scripted TV show.
Mandy is executive producing a new pilot for ABC alongside the showrunners behind her hit show This Is Us with a working title of 90s Popstar.
Itโs inspired by the early days of Mandyโs career and tells the story of a teenage girl from Florida who goes from high schooler to superstar seemingly overnight.
But itโs not only about the girl, it focuses on how the entire family is forced to adapt.
The pilot is expected to go into production soon and if a full season is ordered it could be on ABC as early this fall.
