'AT40' Recap: Sam Smith and Normani Score the Top Spot This Week

This week we say goodbye to "Be Alright" by Dean Lewis. This track was his first AT40 hit, debuting back in November and peaking at #4 in April. Maroon 5 also ends their 49-week run with "Girls Like You" featuring Cardi B, the collab spent 5 weeks at #1 back in August and September.

New to the chart this week is Pink with "Walk Me Home," this is her 29th AT40 hit. And Halsey debuts with "Nightmare," giving her four simultaneous hits. Her others this week are "Without Me," "Eastside” and "Boy With Luv." How long will she keep this streak going?

Also worth noting this week, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber hit the Top 10 in just their second week with “I Don’t Care.” That’s just three weeks after “ME!” by Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie debuted inside the Top 10.

In the Top 3 this week, "Sweet But Psycho" by Ava Max holds at #3 for a second week. While the Jonas Brothers drop down one spot to #2 with "Sucker."

And that means we have a brand new #1.

Sam Smith and Normani have taken over the top spot with "Dancing With a Stranger." This is Sam's first #1 since "Stay With Me" was on top back in 2014. Normani scored the top spot back in September with "Love Lies" and also went to #1 as a member of Fifth Harmony with "Work From Home" in 2016.
