'AT40' Recap: Shawn Mendes Has the Highest Debut of the Week

This week we have three tracks have fallen off the chart, "Last Hurrah" by Bebe Rexha. Super collab "I Can't Get Enough" by benny blanco, Tainy, Selena Gomez & J Balvin. And, Ariana Grande's 32-week run with "breathin" has come to an end, the song peaked at #2 in December.

Coincidentally, two of this week’s debuts are both by the only solo artists born as recently as 2001. One is AJ Mitchell (5/17/01) with "All My Friends" and Billie Eilish (12/18/01) with "bad guy."

Also, Shawn Mendes has the highest debut this week with "If I Can’t Have You" coming in at #23. Although not a remake, another song from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack with the same name spent 2 weeks at #1 in April/May 1978 for Yvonne Elliman.

Did you know that between 2014 and early 2018, 5 Seconds of Summer scored six AT40 hits, yet none of them hit the Top 10?! Then last year, "Youngblood" did (and even went all the way to #1), and this week it is followed by "Who Do You Love" with The Chainsmokers (coming in at #10). Will it reach the top as well? We'll find out in the weeks to come!

This week, for a third week in a row the Top 3 remain the same with Ariana Grande at #3 with "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored," Sam Smith and Normani at #2 with "Dancing With a Stranger" and the Jonas Brothers at #1 with "Sucker."
