Here's What is Happening on the 'American Top 40' Chart This Week

This week we say goodbye to "broken" by lovelytheband. This was the band's debut single and it spent 31 weeks on the chart, peaking at #13 back in January.

Imagine Dragon's latest "Bad Lair" also had to call it quits this week. However, the track did have some international success, hitting #1 in the Czech Republic and Latvia, but only making it to #22 on the AT40 chart.

And Dan + Shay's hit "Tequila" also falls off the chart this week. This was the country music duo's first Top 40 hit.

New to the chart this week is Lil Nas X with "Old Time Road." At 1:48, this may be the shortest song to ever hit the countdown, at least since 1970. Prior to this, the shortest song we could find is "Bizarre Love Triangle" by Frente!, clocking in at 1:54 back in 1994.

The Jonas Brothers latest single "Cool" is also cracking the charts this week. With "Sucker" also on the chart, this marks the first time the guys have had two simultaneous AT40 hits.

And benny blanco, Tainy, Selena Gomez and J Balvin debut with their superstar collab "I Can't Get Enough."

This week "Sucker" by the Jonas Brothers leaps from #8 to #3. They are tied with Billie Eilish ("when the party's over") for fastest riser of the week, both tracks are up five spots. This is also the first time one of the biggest movers has been within the Top 10 since another "JB," Justin Bieber’s "Sorry" went from #10 to #5 in 2015. Will the Jonas Brothers take "Sucker" to #1?

Ellie Goulding and Diplo hold on for a second week at #2 with "Close To Me" featuring Swae Lee.

While Ariana Grande continues her reign at the top for a fifth week with "7 rings."
