Here's What is Happening on the 'American Top 40' Chart This Week

Last week on AT40, Ariana Grande bookended the countdown with "God is a woman" at #40 and "7 rings" at #1, but the 29-week run for "God is a woman" has come to an end.

And Zedd & Katy Perry's collab "365," which refers to the number of days in a year, only got to spend 35 days on the chart.

New to the chart this week is Khalid with "Talk." This gives him four simultaneous hits this week, along with "Eastside," "Better" and "Love Lies." "Love Lies," by the way, is spending a 50th week on AT40, the longest since Dua Lipa's "New Rules" last year.

The highest debut of the week at #33 is "i'm so tired…" by Lauv and Troye Sivan. Lauv is best known for "I Like Me Better" (#7 in 2018). Meanwhile, Troye's biggest hit to date is "Youth" (#20 in 2016).

Halsey's 12-week run in the Top 3 with "Without Me" continues, but she drops down one spot from last week to #3.

While Ellie Goulding and Diplo's hit "Close To Me" featuring Swae Lee, which debuted on the chart back in January, has continued to climb up the chart and is up another spot this week to #2.

And "7 rings" by Ariana Grande is on top for a 4th week! This is the biggest hit of her career, passing up "God is a woman," which spent 3 weeks at #1 in November.

How long with Ari's reign at the top last? Find out in the weeks to come!
