Childish Gambino is gearing up for his second weekend headlining Coachella tonight.
While his Guava Island costar and fellow music icon Rihanna took a moment to share how much she admires him and enjoyed making the film.
She wrote on Instagram: “You are a true gem to the culture. I’m so proud of you and the work you put into making this film. I felt how close this was to you and your entire team! Thank you for trusting me with this role! It was the greatest experience being in Cuba, phones off, present with life and art! It was humbling!”
Guava Island was released last Friday to coincide with Gambino’s first night at Coachella and you can stream it now on Amazon Prime.
