Why Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin Aren't Rushing Their Religious Wedding

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are taking their sweet time on their walk down the aisle.

According to PEOPLE, the couple, who tied the knot in a secret courthouse ceremony last fall, are not in any rush to set a wedding date for their religious ceremony. "They’ve been figuring out the perfect time to do it, and they both feel like the sooner, the better," a Bieber insider reveals in the pub's latest issue, out this week. "They’re still figuring it out."

As initially reported by PEOPLE, the "Cold Water" singer and the 22-year-old model exchanged their vows in New York City on September 13. The union, witnessed only by Bieber's Churchome friend Josh Mehl, had been officiated by preacher and Nyak College faculty member Jeffrey Quinn, TMZ revealed weeks later.

Although they married in private, it was said the 24-year-old and his wife were to have a second, religious ceremony so their matrimony could be recognized by God and the church as the newlyweds are both devout members of Hillson Church.

Even so, the singer's source adds the couple is taking things slow with sorting out all the details.

"They’re working with the schedules of all their friends and family to make sure they can be surrounded by the people they love," they explained. "There’s no real rush. They’re already legally married, but they’re very excited about throwing a celebration with their loved ones."
