It’s become pretty apparent that Kesha has songwriting in her blood, quite literally.
Her mom Patricia has co-written massive hits for Dolly Parton and Pitbull, as well as eleven songs with her own daughter.
So it’s not surprising that when Kesha writes her own songs, Patricia is the first person she plays them for, but her mom doesn’t sugar coat things.
During a Hollywood Reporter songwriter roundtable, Kesha explained:
"My mom tells me everything. She’s brutal. She’ll tell me, 'This sucks. You’re trying way too hard,' but she’s right. She’s always right.”
