Eight years after Louis Tomlinson and his One Direction brothers found fame on the UK edition of X Factor, he is returning to the show as a judge.
This has caused a bit of concern from fans who fear the full-time gig will only further delay his long awaited debut full length album.
In fact, there was enough of an uproar Louis felt compelled to make a video statement on Twitter, saying in part:
"My album is still definitely my priority and it doesn’t change any release time doing the show. I just thought having come from the show it made a lot of sense to me to go on and I’ve always been interested in mentoring.
So it’s something that’s been on my mind for a number of years now and as soon as I got the assurance that it wasn’t going to affect any of my music, but actually it was going to help it then I started seriously thinking about it."
With that said Louis’ album should still be on track for a 2018 release!
