Shawn Mendes Gets Handsy With Lilliya Scarlett In 'Nervous' Video

Simplicity seems to be the themes for the music videos for Shawn Mendes' latest album. After dropping his one-take clip for "In My Blood," the pop star unleashed the follow-up (color) visual to "Nervous" on Monday (June 11) and it sees the star in his element with his guitar in tow.

For the video to the mid-tempo track, which was directed by Eli Russell Linnetz, Mendes sits in front of a green screen as he performs the flirty new single. However, the more suggestive scenes see model Lilliya Scarlett's hands caressing his face and chest, offering plenty of moments for the star to don his million dollar smile. Just a couple weeks back, the singer released a vertical video for the track that was entirely in black-and-white.

"I get a little bit nervous around you/ Get a little bit stressed out when I think about you/ Get a little excited/ Baby, when I think about you," he sings during the head-nodding chorus. "Nervous" boasts a writing credit from none other than Julia Michaels, who also appears on one of the two duets on Shawn Mendes called "Like to Be You." If you like what you hear, make sure you grab tickets to his upcoming world tour, which will see him start off on March 7, 2019in Amsterdam, before making his way to the U.K. and then North America.

Mendes seems to be living his best life right now as his self-titled LP topped the Billboard 200 during its initial week of release. For his follow-up week, the pop singer/songwriter's collection logged the No. 8 position, moving 39,000 units.
