Rita Ora To Write A Song Inspired By Fan-Submitted Stories of Acceptance

Rita Ora has released some amazing songs this year, but she's not done just yet. The London-based singer has teamed up with Absolut Vodka on a new initiative called The Open Mic Project, and will be writing a song influenced by fan-submitted stories of inclusion and acceptance -- such an important topic in the world today.

Through The Open Mic Project, fans were encouraged to share their personal stories about some of the moments in their lives that they've felt accepted, welcomed and loved for who they are. These touching and empowering stories will help inspire Rita when writing this special song, a track that will be revealed during GRAMMY Week 2018.

And while Rita may be raising the bar for songwriting through this project, she's also raising a glass for all those who are brave enough to raise their voice and #refreshthetalk with their personal memories. The stories are already starting to roll in, and it looks like Rita already has a lot to work with.

Acceptance has always been a part of Rita’s life. As a young refugee (originally from what is present day Kosovo), to becoming a fierce female singer in the music industry, as well as a style icon, she is not afraid to express herself through her work. There is no better way to bring people together than through music, and Rita's upcoming new song will certainly give us all the feels.

Speaking of feels, with the upcoming iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour in full effect, so are the holidays. Presented by Absolut Vodka, Rita will be performing an exclusive show at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City to help kick off Jingle Ball in the Big Apple on December 6th. Fans can tune in to a video stream of the show on 12/6 at 8pm ET via iHeartRadio's YouTube channel.
