Selena Gomez performed in Central Park Friday morning
Selena Gomez performed on "Good Morning America" Friday morning as part of their summer concert series in Central Park. The teenage pop star also chatted about her music, her recent trip to the hospital, her upcoming film and being the girlfriend of another very famous teen.
During the interview, she revealed that shes including a Britney Spears tribute as part of her summer tour, and described her reaction when she found out Britney herself had co-written one of the songs on Selenas upcoming album.

Selena will be featured in an upcoming special on E!. On the show, she admits that shes not perfect. She says, "I never really said I want to be a role model. But then when it happened I was so down for it. Im human, Im not perfect. I make mistakes all the time, but I guess my job is to keep those mistakes to myself, which Im already fine doing and just try to be the best I can be for those kids."
She also addresses life in the limelight: "This is a very superficial job... I sit in a chair for two hours and get hair and makeup done and talk about [myself] in interviews. Thats a very vain thing to do. And I do get caught up in it sometimes."
