Watch James Corden Battle Neil Patrick Harris In A Broadway Riff-Off
The Filharmonic were involved as well!
Don't underestimate James Corden's willingness to accept a challenge, especially if it's about his knowledge of Broadway tunes and from his friend and fellow theatrical enthusiast Neil Patrick Harris.
On Tuesday night (January 9), Harris "surprised" the comedian on his "Late Late Show" and challenged Corden to a Broadway riff-off. With backing from The Filharmonic, they pair went through classics like "Sit Down You’re Rockin' the Boat" from "Guys and Dolls," "Everything’s Coming Up Roses" from "Gypsy: A Musical Fable" and even ended on a collaborative note with a duet of "My Shot" from the musical "Hamilton."
Still, all wasn't pre-rehearsed, after the performance Harris admitted that the number came with a rather embarrassing wardrobe malfunction. "When I went down on my knees there, I had a nice wardrobe malfunction and split my pants from my ass to my knee," he admitted. "I left it all on the stage for you."
