POLICE: Leslie Carter Died of Apparent Overdose
A police report released Thursday suggests that Leslie died of a prescription drug overdose.
Nick and Aaron Carters sister, Leslie, 25, died Tuesday of an apparent overdose, according to a police report.
People.com reports that Leslies stepmom, Ginger, told police Leslie had "a long history of mental illness" and that she seemed depressed the morning of her death. Ginger helped Leslie lie down after she fell in the shower, and although she appeared to be sleeping, she had stopped breathing by Tuesday afternoon. Leslies father called 911 after attempting CPR.
Leslie was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to the report, several medications were discovered near Leslie, including a muscle relaxant, medication to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.
