New Hip-Hop Collab Coming From The Labelmates Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar

Losing the streets was never an option for Lady Gaga, so she will be playing the hip-hop moll once more for Kendrick Lamar

Aug 16, 2012

It’s probably been a long time coming, especially considering that Lady Gaga’s last guest appearance on a rap album came three years ago, with “Chillin’” on Wale’s Attention Deficit. Losing the streets was never an option for Lady Gaga, so she will be playing the hip-hop moll once more—this time for Kendrick Lamar, the West Coast rapper with whom she shared a Twitter flirtation over the course of this year’s Coachella. Gaga took to the Bluebird again today to officially announce the collab:

Well, we were already pretty excited for good kid, m.A.A.d. City—being the best album in 20 years and all—and now it really looks like one of the event LPs of the second half of the year. Hope Kendrick gets to return the favor on ARTPOP.
