Kelly Clarkson Shares Her ‘Dark Side’

“Will you love me even with my darkside” Kelly Clarkson asks in her new music video for “Dark Side.” Filmed in Los Angeles, Kelly assures fans things will get better and there’s no need to run away as people move forward through life’s troubles.
The original “American Idol” and star of ABC’s “Duets” which premieres tonight takes a deep look at everybody’s not so perfect side. For example, a young woman is shown measuring her weight as the pressure to be thin continues in the media. One man is shown with only one leg after fighting for his country. Another woman faces losing her husband as she scans the newspaper for divorce lawyers.
Kelly’s latest video could be her next girl power anthem with lyrics including, “Nobody’s a picture perfect / But we’re worth it / You know that we’re worth it / Will you love me? / Even with my dark side?” the singer hopes to convey a positive message that things can get better and nobody’s perfect. Her past hits including “Breakaway,” “Never Again,” and “Walk Away” have provided similar positive messages.
