Kelly tells us why there was pressure writing 'Catch My Breath'

“American Idol ” season one winner Kelly Clarkson tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest she’ll be spending Christmas with her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock’s family, which is definitely a sign things are going well for the pair. Many of Kelly’s songs have been about independence and female empowerment, so has being deeply in love for the first time changed her songwriting?
“Yeah, definitely. Even with ‘Catch My Breath’ writing that…he knows we we’re already together and I was like I’m trying to write something that encompasses the fact that I’m grateful for my relationship,” she told us.
She also said there was pressure writing “Catch My Breath” as it was for her greatest hits album. But judging by its success, we’d say it belongs there.
