Katy Perry Releases Storybook Trailer for ‘Wide Awake’
New trailer reveals a fairytale theme for upcoming “Wide Awake” music video!
This isn’t your normal music video trailer…
Pop star Katy Perry releases brand new trailer for her “Wide Awake” music video and it has a very large fairytale theme to it. “Wide Awake” is the final single off her album, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.
The video shows a young girl flipping through the pages of an old book with tattered pages that shows stills from Katy’s previous music videos. “Wide Awake” is playing in the background while she flips through and shows quick little previews of what will be in the final music video. There’s a labyrinth, a poison strawberry, a curious cat, a prince charming, and a little girl, all of which following the fairytale theme.
The trailer says the “Wide Awake” music video will be released June 19, while Katy has a 3D movie event, “Part of Me,” coming out this summer on July 5. Looks like she’s got another busy summer ahead of her — checkout the trailer below!
