Bruno Mars charged with cocaine possession

Bruno Mars has been charged with felony possession of cocaine, TMZ.com reports.
Mars - born Peter Hernandez - was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics in Las Vegas in the early morning hours of September 19 after performing at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino earlier that night. If convicted, he could face up to four years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine, according to TMZ.com.
Mars hit the top of the charts last week with his smash hit "Just The Way You Are" after storming onto the scene appearing on hits like "Nothin' On You" with B.o.B. and "Billionaire" with Travie McCoy. An accomplished writer and producer, he also co-wrote Cee-Lo's buzzed-about "F*** You" and Flo Rida's "Right Round."
