Blue Ivy Carters Shoe Game
At only eight-months old, the baby girl now has a new pair of sparkly kicks from designer Ruthie Davis

Following in her parents’ footsteps, Blue Ivy Carter is establishing an enviable shoe game, reportedly collecting looks from Jeremy Scott and Marc Jacobs. Now, at only eight-months old, the BIC is also serving as muse to fashion’s elite. Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter has a famous fan in designer Ruthie Davis, who posted a photo of the new sparkly kicks inspired by and created especially for music’s most famous First Daughter. “Take a look at the Baby Ruthie’s I made especially for Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy…” the Facebook caption reads. “SO Sweet, right?”

According to the Daily Mail, the miniature shoes are covered in amethyst Swarovski crystals, estimated at $800 a pair for the average toddler. Wouldn’t blue gemstones be a better choice? This is a very sweet gesture by Ms. Davis, but does she know who else loves purple? These kicks will go nicely with Blue’s Watch The Throne t-shirt, and the inevitable toddler ball gowns Miss Tina is cooking up in her style factory.
Once again, that’s Blue Ivy: 1,000,000; you: 0. But after Swarovski-encrusted booties and an entire song dedicated to her by dear old dad, we’re starting to worry the B.I.C. is getting spoiled. Nah—Bey knows the importance of staying grounded.
