Spears Hosts Baby Shower

Pregnant teenager Jamie Lynn Spears has hosted an intimate baby shower at her parents' home in Kentwood, Louisiana.

The 17-year-old actress stunned the world when she confirmed in December she was expecting her first child, and is reportedly set to become a mom in June.

And ahead of the birth, the star gathered family and friends for a party in her hometown on Saturday, May 3, inviting around 30 guests, including her older sister Britney, for a ladies-only celebration.

A source tells People.com, "Jamie Lynn opened every gift. We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. It was just a good old fashioned baby shower."

And although police were posted at the gates of the house and paparazzi helicopters circled above, the source adds, "It was a normal shower. A wonderful, sweet occasion."
